Ashley & Manika banded together to start a vacation rental business

Ashley and Manika were both living in Atlanta when they got the idea to go into vacation rentals together. They own several properties, and now they also offer travel planning services for their customers. They even offer consultation services for other entrepreneurs who want to do what they did. 

In the beginning, they learned everything they know from watching YouTube videos. They dove headfirst into their business with a little bit of planning, good credit, and a lot of faith. 

The two best friends use each other’s strengths to balance out their business

Ashley and Manika were already best friends when they decided to go into business together. They both have strengths and weaknesses that balance each other out and contribute to their business. For example, Ashley is better at communicating with troublesome guests. Knowing their strong points helps them delegate tasks in the most effective and efficient way. 

In the beginning, Ashley and Manika did everything for the business themselves, including cleaning and doing the laundry for their rental properties. Their hands-on approach helped them save money and pay off the debt from purchasing their properties. As their business grew, they were able to delegate those tasks to teams, and now they can be hands-off with the day-to-day maintenance of their properties.
